Everyone is writing about December 8. That's the day Pulley ceases all operations, the app becomes inaccessible and support ends.
The date that will actually cost people money is 30 November. That's the cutoff to opt in to Pulley's arranged Carta migration offer, and it's the one companies are most likely to miss, because it doesn't feel urgent with two months left.
Miss it and you don't lose your data. You lose the terms.
The dates
Pulley hasn't defined what that "limited format" contains, which is reason enough not to plan around it. Treat 8 December as the real wall.
What the Carta offer contains
A new Carta contract. This is not an automatic transfer.
- Your current pricing is honoured for one year, plus credit for unused prepaid Pulley balance.
- Annual or quarterly billing only. Anyone on Pulley's monthly plan changes cadence.
- The opt-in itself is not a commitment to migrate.
- Pulley will not assist migrations to any other provider.
The opt-in costs nothing and expires. Take it before 30 November even if you're undecided, then make the real decision on your own timeline.
What the offer doesn't cover
After the first year, you don't know what you'll pay.
Carta shows a price for one plan, the free Launch tier. Every tier above it is a contact-sales button. If you were paying for Pulley, you're already past that cap, so there's no figure you can look up before the call.
That gap matters more at renewal than at signup. A year in, your register is the system of record, your investors and employees have logins, and the quote arrives then. Ask for year-two pricing in writing before you opt in. Any vendor should be willing to put it in front of you, us included.
What EquityList is offering Pulley customers
Your Pulley contract term carries over. We match whatever is left on it, so you're not paying two platforms while you transition. On a multi-year plan? Tell us where you are and we'll work it out. Beyond this:
- Your first auditor-supported 409A is free. Series A and beyond, 60% off.
- Your account will be live in 12 hours. Most Pulley migrations complete inside half a day, with an operator alongside you. If your structure needs longer, we say so upfront rather than letting the clock slip.
- A full sandbox rebuild before you commit. Review the reconstructed cap table, grant and vesting history intact, before anything becomes your system of record.
- All your documents move as-is. Executed certificates, SAFEs and grants carry across as historical records. Nothing gets re-papered or re-signed.
- You have full context about the renewal pricing. Year-two pricing is on our pricing page. Compare it yourself before you sign anything, with us or with anyone else.
How the migration works
Because Pulley won't assist a move to anyone but Carta, every other path starts with your own export. That's the only part you have to do yourself, and from there you can go two ways: send us the data and we'll build the account and take you live, or sign up and upload it yourself.
Either way, pull your paperwork out of Pulley while you still can. Signed grant letters, share and grant agreements, executed SAFEs and notes, board consents and past 409A reports are separate from the cap table export, so they have to be exported before you lose access.
Here’s how the process of migration works:
Send the export
Download your cap table from Pulley and send it over with a little context. Take one export on All time, then a second with Include Drafts ticked. Drafts are excluded by default and they disappear on 8 December.
We reconcile the details
Our team checks the numbers, grants, entities and historical events against what you've sent. It's a reconciliation, not a file import.
Go live
We tell you when the rebuild is ready, checked, and ready to go live. With the live account in place, you can then invite your team and stakeholders to join the platform.
What you're moving onto with EquityList
An AI Equity Agent that's built in, not bolted on
Ask the agent a question, or ask it to take an action. It reads your actual documents, meaning plan rules, board resolutions and company records rather than just the ledger, and every number it returns is computed from your live register.
It doesn't have to wait to be asked, either. You can set an agent running on a schedule: generate the exercise report at 10am every Monday, or flag grants approaching expiry at the start of each month. The recurring work that usually lives in someone's calendar reminders becomes a standing instruction that runs whether or not anyone remembers it.
It also enforces your guardrails. Plan rules apply as hard constraints, so the agent can't draft a grant that breaches your own scheme. That works because the agent accesses your own documents to build the guardrails.
Multi-entity and corporate actions in one register
Multi-entity structures are genuinely complex, and plenty of cap table platforms don't support them properly.
EquityList treats the group as the unit: each entity keeps its own share classes, currencies and local plan rules, while the consolidated view across all of them is generated rather than assembled.
Grants can be issued across currencies and share classes, and reporting runs across entities without exporting each one separately. Corporate actions work the same way. Buybacks, splits and transfers execute in place and the register updates.
Grants and compliance in one workflow
Issuance, vesting schedules, e-signatures, board approvals and 409A valuations run as one connected flow. Approvals and signed documents attach to each grant as it is created, so the paperwork and the ledger entry stay together from the start. What you end up with is a record that builds itself as you work.
Cap table your board and investors can rely on
Waterfall analysis, scenario modelling, a full audit trail and an investor portal, so the version your board sees is the version that exists. SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 and GDPR.
Workflows that survive going public
Listed-company equity administration, including payment and trust workflows, is a different problem from tracking a startup option pool. It's supported, which matters if the platform you pick now is meant to still be the right one in five years.
Whatever you decide
You don't need the export finished to talk to us. Send us what you have along with the details of your current Pulley account, and we'll get you set up on EquityList and take you live. Your paperwork carries across as historical records, with nothing re-papered or re-signed.
